This is a pivotal moment - the arts community is strong, and the team is ready.

We urgently need to permanently secure our facilities.

The former Poatina Primary School and Training Centre are currently for sale.  They are where many summer school workshops and residencies in performing arts, painting and drawing, creative writing, interdisciplinary collaboration, etc have been hosted.  The buildings also have potential to house silversmithing, ceramics and music recording studios.  We are also working on a process to secure ongoing access to the Arts Centre / Glass Studio through private ownership.  Securing both properties would ensure key venues for arts and community programs, not just for now, but for growth in the future.

Four generous supporters have already donated a deposit of $23,000. 

We now have three weeks to raise further funds and prepare an Expression of Interest for the real estate broker.  By that stage we will need to have secured finance of up to $250,000 in donations or no/low-interest loans.  A smaller but significant financial boost and volunteer hours will also be needed for renovations once we own the property.

Would you consider .…. A tax deductible Donation?   A no or low interest Loan (or approach someone who may be able to)?  Or, once we hopefully have the property, give your time and skills to make them functional and beautiful?

Alternatively, we would be willing to work with someone who shares our vision: to privately purchase the buildings, and enter a long-term rental agreement.
